    Exodus 20:12-17
    Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that
    the LORD your God is giving you. You shall not murder. You shall not commit
    adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your
    neighbor. You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your
    neighbor's wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs
    to your neighbor.
    Here we have the list of strong suggestions. There is one you should and six you shall not. Do
    honor your parents. Do not kill, commit adultery, steal, bear false witness, and covet anything of
    your neighbor's. These "rules" are good ones to live by. They are simple to state and a little bit
    harder to live by. Yet even this list may be made more compact as follows:
    Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
