What did we learn this week?

Here is our class schedule:

7:45-9:45 Reading/ Language Arts

Reading: This week, we have been reviewing long


vowels and short vowels. We even discussed the three

different types of nouns: person, place, or thing. We
have also been working on nonsense words, rhyming,
10:45-11:15 P.E.
and fluency in our Word work Center. In Writing cen11:15-11:45 Special Writing time/ Writers work- ter, writing a sticker story has been a BIG hit this

week.

11:45-12:15 Lunch

Math: We have been working on measuring. We


talked about different units of measurement, we

worked with connecting cubes measuring different
things we use in school. We have also been working
12:30-1:20 Discovery/Social Science
hard in our Math Workshop centers. In one Math Work1:25-2:10 RESOURCE (music, media, art, com- shop Tub, we measured our shoe using inchworms,

connecting cubes, paper clips, and counting bears!
We have been working in our Math Journals on our
2:10-2:30 Pack Up/Dismissal
Problems of the Day. We are looking forward to next

Discovery: We have still been learning about the special author Dr. Seuss. We have been reading many of
his stories. We read Hop on Pop, and we used our 5
senses to describe popping popcorn.
