ARCHITECTURE
Its architecture style is Islamic.
Poor building materials were used.
Wall were covered with a lot of decorations.
Muslims didn't permit the representation of
animals of people so they painted geometric and
plant motifs. The artist also used calligraphy to
cover the walls with poems, eulogies and texts
from the Koran.
There was a play of light and shade, using stained
glass, shutters, and reflections on tiles. A love of
water can be seen in fountains, pools and
waterfalls.
Islamic buildings were supported by colums,
pillars and horseshoe, or arches with decorative
plasterwork.
Buildings usually had flat, wooden roofs. Some
buildings had domes, which were often richly
decorated.
