Filming Our First Scene

To begin filming, we came together and chose a time when we were all free. We
met at Bryonys house at around 9 AM to set up the scene and clear anything
which may cause a problem for our filming. This took around 30 minutes
however it was something that we had to do. We then began setting up our
scene by gathering blankets, stones, petals and candles. We had to take into
consideration the risk of something catching fire whilst filming so we decided to
leave Jack outside with a fire blanket in case of an emergency. We also had to
beware of Bryonys dog Millie which couldve potentially got in our shots or gone
near the candles and burnt herself.

We then had to try and get the right camera angles and lighting effects as it was
filmed in the morning time so there was a lot of natural sunlight. However, we
came to the conclusion that the best thing to do would be to shut the cupboard
door and place a sheet over any windows to ensure there was not much natural
light in our shots, just the man made light of the candles.

We filmed the same scene several times so that we had a choice of which ones
to use in our final film. Overall I feel that our first day was productive, however,
we needed more time in order to complete the whole film.
