I came to Ateneo because it teaches the values of becoming a man for
others. It hones students to live life to its fullest and do things in Magis always. Success is being taught not to be a personal ideology but a form of contributing to others in large. Likewise, Ateneo, particularly its Law School, is the best source of education in the country. The best teachers are in this school. Thus, I am very grateful to be in this school. 2. The mission of the Ateneo Law School is to prepare its students to learn the law, serve the people. In light of this mission, what kind of lawyers do we want to produce? As far as I am concerned, I want the Ateneo to produce Commercial and Corporate Lawyers. Commercial and Corporate Lawyers often dictate the way transactions go about and as a whole how the economy moves on. For me, the economy of the country will be the best source of human rights and the means to serve the people. If people are having jobs due to a strong economy and through the jobs are able to enjoy a good standard of living then being an Atenean Commercial and Corporate Lawyer is the best way to be. 3. How does your organization contribute to this mission? The KAPWA organization is a form of a training ground teaching how to deal with commerce as a whole through its projects like the Honesty Store where the law students buy the goods personally from the dealers and thinks of the proper prices to sell the same in school effectively. Afterwards, the proceeds go to the selected charitable organization which in turn teaches the law students to learn to be giving and work for the benefit of others. 4. What kind of programs and activities will help us achieve those objectives? Currently, the KAPWAs most notable activity is the Honesty Store. As I have mentioned, the same teaches how commerce can be used to serve others.
