The project is to be executed in 3 phases.

Phase 1: Data collection and Writing introduction to the topic

Step 1: Choose a topic and form your team of 4 students (maximum). Minimum is
three.
The suggested topics: Examples are given below.

Mobile Recharge
Cosmetics Expense
Rent
Petrol Expense
Grocery Expense
Utility Bills( Telephone, Water, Electricity)

Step2 : Prepare a questionnaire on the topic and get it approved by the instructor
Tips:
1. Your questions should be worded in simple English
2. Your questions should give you information pertaining the two types of variables: Quantitative (both
discrete and continuous) &Qualitative

Step 3: Collect data from at least 30 respondents (Sample size is 30) and enter in excel
Step 4: Prepare the Cover page (Details on title, Name and ID of participants to be included) and
Introduction to the project
1st para in the Introduction: why you are interested in this topic
2nd para in : detailed explanation about your population, sample size, data collection methods,
variables under study (are they quantitative or qualitative etc.) and sampling techniques used for
the project. Try to explain the terms that you learn in chapter 1, in the context of your project.
Step 5:Enter the data in excel and submit on Bb before the deadline

The softcopy has to be submitted to Bb. Please follow these steps for submitting in Bb
a. Login to Bb
b. Select Assignment tab
c. Click on the link Project Phase I
d. Browse and attach required files ( cover page, introduction, questionnaire sample, &
Excel sheet) and then submit it.
e. From a group, only one student needs to submit it to Bb.
