Dear Parents/Guardians,

MARCH MADNESS is in effect! This March we are encouraging

your child to Shoot for Stamina. Stamina is doing something for a long
time without getting tired or giving up. From March 9-April 3 your
child will have the opportunity to record his/her daily, at-home reading.
In keeping with the basketball theme, we are aiming for our students to
shoot at least 2 points per night (see description on the back of this
paper).

Time: The amount of time that your child is to

read is based on his /her age. You will double
his /her age to determine the amount of time
required each day. For example, if your child is
6 years old, he/ she will read 12 minutes per
day. This would count as a 2-point basket!
