The course invites students to use a number of social media tools ~ tagxedo, edpuzzle, kizoa, powtoon ~ and more, to complete assignments and activities. Students participate in self-reflection, peer review and class discussions, which ultimately culminate in detailed assessment with individualized multi-modal feedback. While her Class is clearly organized into modules which support clearly stated learning outcomes, , introducing content through videos, animations, poems, songs, anime and cartoons, The course invites students to participate the Anything Else Café and the Eagle Writer of the Week which both serve to create community and connections. it is also creative and exci Sheila models everything that you would want in an excellent instructor. She is Passionate, persistent, knowledgeable, rigorous, thorough, clear, firm, celebratory and enthusiastic. She meets students as a guide, coach, leader and mentor. She co-opts their technology and culture to cultivate performance, creativity and communication. Sheila is one of those rare individuals who continues to inspire students (and her colleagues) with her own passion for learning and life. She puts her heart and mind into developing a learning environment that captures the intrigue of her students’ imaginations and, in the process, she keeps evolving and improving her craft, There is no doubt in my mind that Sheila Bolduc-Simpson is an outstanding educator most deserving of the FGCU Excellence in Teaching Award.
