Timekas Tanning salon is located in San Francisco, California. It provides customers with access
to latest tanning beds, tan enhancing products and design features.
Company is manually maintaining the salon daily sales record. At the end of each week Miss.
Lorenzo, the owner of Timekas Tanning Salon prepares a weekly sales activity report
summarizing the data contained in the 7 daily sales activity reports.
Problems with the existing systems:
The data entry is very cumbersome and as the analysis is done weekly so the owner is not able to
analyze the daily variations of sales activities. It also forgoes the opportunity to immediately
improve on the daily fluctuations and fall in the sales activities.
Timeka Tanning Salons Requirement:
Miss. Lorenzo, needs an efficient system for tracking and analyzing her salons daily sales
activities. The workbook should enable her to track and analysis salons activities efficiently.
It should help her to compare results of sales activities which can help her to improvise upon the
services and fulfill the customers requirements.

- Freeze multiple rows and column in our spreadsheet.
- Automatic calculation of total daily revenue, top selling items.
- Pivot table, graphs, pie charts as per the customers requirements to analyze various sales data,
top selling items and services.

- Easy entry and maintenance of sales data.
- Daily analysis will be easy.
- Time efficient and clear data presentation.
- Easy comparison and tallying of data.
- Less chances of calculation error.
4. What additional information should be included in the workbook to make it more
useful?
- Workbook should have a color coding of the total sales data of each services and have a
particular color level if the sales falls below a predetermined lowest limit. This will help the
client to improve on services which is decreasing and enhancing the standards of the services.
