Hello my name is Terri Lee I have an AA Liberal Arts and will be completing my undergrad

degree in Child Development this year, I have been a Special Ed Paraprofessional with Los
Angeles School District for 25 yrs. and a part time care provider for children and adults with
Disabilities
I have assisted and created lessons that engage all learners by applying a variety of teaching
methods. I have enjoyed working with a diverse group of children, including ADD/ADHD,
Autism, learning disabilities and physical challenges. I learn something new every day. My
experience in the classroom has made me get away from cookie cutter teaching because every
child learns differently. One size fits all will not work every child has unique goals, needs and
interest.
My greatest asset is being able to create effective lesson plans and activities to accommodate
every child. Ive assisted in developing multi-sensory lessons that meet the needs of all students,
auditory, visual, tactile and kinesthetic learners. Ive instructed children with technology,
manipulatives, and group work. One of my main goals is to make sure every child knows that I
care through praise, encouragement and continual motivation.
I am passionate about teaching children and building relationships that help them build
confidence and enable them to grow as learners. I look forward to the opportunity to meet and
