Fabra tells Ecclestone European Grand Prix needs to be

cheaper
By: ThinkSpain , Wednesday, October 5, 2011

The President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Alberto Fabra, confirmed

today that he met with Formula One's Bernie Ecclestone in Valencia
last weekend and that he conveyed to him his belief that European
Grand Prix costs need to be kept down.
Fabra made the statement whilst on official duty at Valencia's
international exhibition centre, where he was opening this year's
Iberflora trade show.
"I had never met him before and was introduced to him by the
mayoress of Valencia", explained Fabra. The regional president took
advantage of the meeting to transmit his "confidence" in the working
relationship with Ecclestone, emphasising that the Comunitat "wants
to continue being the modern window on Europe" but added that "we
need to be more efficient, make cuts here and there, offer the same
but at a lower price".
Fabra explained that he asked the Formula One boss to have "trust in
the Community" and expressed his pleasure that it was Ecclestone
himself who designed the Valencia street circuit (on which the
European Grand Prix is held) and that he was able to witness for
himself "the potencial and attraction of the city".
