Litter Bug Tag

Grades K-2
Organization:
Students will be scattered throughout the playing area.
Choose 3 students to be the Litter Bug Taggers and give them a noodle tagger.
Choose 2 students to be the Captain Green Planet super heroes. Give these
students a green bucket.

Rules/Play:
1. Explain to the students that the object of the game is for the Litter Bug taggers to
tag as many people as they can to make them litter on the earth. They do this
by using the noodle to tag.
2. Once a student gets tagged by the litter bug tagger, the student must go to the
closest recycling bin and perform 3 Im a tree Burpees. The student must then
take one piece of trash out of the recycling bin and throw it out towards the landfill
(circled area in the middle of the playing area).
3. The Captain Green Planet super heroes must go around and collect trash in the
green bucket. They may only collect one piece of trash at a time and go dump it
into the recycling bins.
4. This continues until the teacher blows the whistle to FREEZE.
5. Take a look at the trash in the playing area and landfill to see if the Captain Green
Planet super heroes need to work faster!
6. Change litter bug taggers and Captain Green Planets for a new game.
7. Begin each game by saying One. Two. Three. Litter Bug taggers do not start until
they hear Three. Each game can last approximately 2-3 minutes.
8. Continue playing until time is up.

**At the end of the day, please bring all equipment to the gym.
