The 5 Minds of the Future outline the cognitive abilities that


are needed for future leaders.

Gardner provides a variety of examples to show how each of


these minds relate to leaders

The Five minds are: The Disciplined Mind, The Synthesizing


Mind, The Creating Mind, The Respectful Mind, The Ethical
Mind.

INTRODUCTION

The Disciplined Mind show us the how to understand


knowledge.

It is focused on how the mind uses science, facts,


mathematics, and how a person understands their or other
professions.

It relates to fields of studies

THE DISCIPLINED MIND

The synthesizing mind give us the ability to integrate ideas.

The ideas are integrated from disciplined mind and are fields
of study.

The synthesizing mind also gives us the ability to understand


how the ideas work together and how to share and explain
these ideas.

THE SYNTHESIZING MIND

The Creating Mind gives us the ability to find new ideas.

It gives us the ability to clarify existing ideas and questions

The Creating Mind allows to create new ideas and new


problems and new questions.

THE CREATING MIND

The Respectful Mind teaches us to respect others.

We also learn to be aware of different cultures and peoples.

It teaches us to appreciate the differences between cultures


and peoples.

THE RESPECTFUL MIND

The Ethical Mind shows us how to act.

It teaches us how to be good citizens

It stresses being responsible for you work, and how to act and
react on the job. It leads

THE ETHICAL MIND

The 5 Minds of the Future, is a book of philosophies. It give you


insight into why people think in certain ways. It also allows you
to reflect on decisions that you have made in the past and helps
guide you for future decisions. At times it seem hard to
comprehend but as you read further it comes together to give
you a guide to leadership and decision making. It helps organize
your thoughts to understand the whys and in doing that it
gives you clarity that is necessary make effective decisions.
