Teens Act is looking for 2 full time VISTA Members

Program & Outreach Coordinator

Major Responsibilities
Implement the monthly Parents Program at
Timpanogos Elementary School, the new initiative of
Teens Act.
Assist in coordinating the implementation of the
program at both Provo and Independence High
Schools by providing training, resources, and support.
Continually develop the organizational curriculum and
training materials
Develop a parents' advisory board committee that
supports curriculum development.
Work closely with school administration and
counselors, meeting with them frequently and
developing a strong relationship and open line of
communication.

Program & Research Coordinator


Major Responsibilities
Developing and managing the PR/Marketing
strategies and projects to raise awareness and
increase community support through social media,
website, newsletter, press releases, taking
photos/videos, and creating organizational
materials.
Submitting proposals for sponsorship to potential
sponsors in Utah
Creating effective strategies for systematically
locating and cultivating relationships with all
potential donors, sponsors, or foundations.

Benefits & Compensation


Average $973 a month pre-tax (paid bi-weekly). Estimated living allowance of $11,676 for 12 months.
The VISTA can choose an Education Award ($5,550) or End-of-Service Cash Stipend ($1,500)

Travel costs to necessary conferences, workshops, and events
Qualifications
Be able to attend the mandatory 3 days training in LA (travel costs are covered by CNCS) in early February (TBA)
Be willing to dedicate one year of your time (starting in February) and service according to VISTA guidelines (35+
hours/week)
Proficiency in writing, Google Drive, and MS Word & MS Excel
Very organized with both physical and electronic documents
Professional social skills (talking to strangers, forming relationships with potential donors, sponsors, etc.)
Leadership & Teamwork
Taking initiative in tasks
Ability to learn new skills easily
