Founded in 1904 after the fifth class of medical students graduated from the college, the WCMCAA became incorporated in 1933. Currently the organization has a membership of around 5,600 alumni, many of who are renowned physicians and scientists. WCMCAA members remain engaged to the university by volunteering, hosting receptions, voting in officer elections, and contributing to their class funds.
