SCRIPT, AUGUST 2013 VINA CHRISTINA CORRELATON BETWEEN THE ADHERENCE OF PEOPLE WITH HIV/AIDS AND ANTIRETROVIRAL THERAPY FRUITFULNESS IN SERUNAI POLYCLINIC RSUD Dr. ACHMAD MUCHTAR BUKITTINGGI 2013 xiii + 50 pages + 8 tables + 10 enclosures ABSTRACT HIV/AIDS is a big problem which is threatening Indonesia and another country around the world. On cumulative yield people with HIV/AIDS in Indonesia counted 27.197 people in 2012. One of many important ways to handles HIV/AIDS is improving the adherence of people with HIV/AIDS as long as getting antiretroviral therapy. To get an antiretroviral therapy fruitfulness depends on the adherence of them. The goal of this research is to knowing the correlation between the adherence of people with HIV/AIDS and antiretroviral fruitfulness in Serunai Polyclinic RSUD Dr. Acmad Muchtar Bukittinggi. This research using analytic descriptive with cross sectional approach, which is made at Serunai Polyclinic RSUD Dr. Acmad Muchtar Bukittinggi. The population of this research is all of people with HIV/AIDS who is been getting antiretroviral therapy in Serunai Polyclinic amounted 66 people, and applies accidental sampling method. Questionnaire and observation page used for collecting data. Data analysis through univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using chi square statistic in computerization. The result of this research is got 29 clients (72,5%) of 40 clients are having adherence as long as getting antiretroviral therapy. 29 clients (72,5%) are getting fruitfulness. P value 0,000 it can be concluded there is correlation between adherence of people with HIV/AIDS and antiretroviral therapy fruitfulness. Ods ratio was obtained 280,000 it can be concluded people with HIV/AIDS who is non-adherent will be more risky 280 times to suffer failure in antiretroviral therapy. The conclusion is mainly people with HIV/AIDS have adherence as long as getting antiretroviral therapy. There is correlation between the adherence of people with HIV/AIDS with antiretroviral therapy fruitfulness.
