ORDER
Government have fixed guidelines for Quality Improvement Programme for the
faculty of Government and Aided Engineering colleges, as per the G.Os read above.
The Expert Committee for the improvement of the Quality of Technical Education
and the Screening Committee for the selection of faculty for QIP Programme which met
on 08/06/12 08/07/13 recommended for the revision of the guidelines of QIP
deputation.
In the circumstances, Government are pleased to modify the G.O read as second
paper above as follows.
Clause (a) of the G.O read as second paper above is hereby modified as ' the faculty
should place a bond that he/she should serve the Govt for twice the period of
deputation, continuously from the date of rejoining after QIP.i.e, If the deputation is
for a period of 2 years,the bond period will be 4 years and if the deputation is for a
period of 3 years,the bond period will be 6 years. But the bond period of the
members of faculty who retire ,will be completed on the date of their retirement'.
Clause(b) of the G.O read as second paper above is hereby modified as 'the members
of faculty who breach the bond should pay an amount equal to twice the amount
he/she has drawn during the period of deputation as salary, stipend, DA,
scholarship and other allowances, along with 12.5% interest/annum '
The faculty who return after QIP deputation should register as a guide within two years
from the date of award of P.hD, failing which he/she should pay an amount of Rs.3 lakhs
along with 12.5% interest/annum for every year up to the date on which he will register as
a guide.

The QIP deputation period will be treated as Qualifying Service for all service benefits.
The QIP deputation will not be allowed to minor QIP Centres from the next academic
year onwards(2014-15).
