The K2 class had a transportation-themed field trip last week where they saw different modes of transport in their community, including buses, ferries, and trains, despite rainy weather. Their unit of inquiry is focused on how transportation systems meet community needs and how they have changed over time. This week they are learning about pollution from different transport options and which are better in different situations.

transportation field trip. Even though it was a rainy day we still got many opportunities to see all kinds of transport being used in our community. We also got to use the bus, ferry and metro train. Due to the rain we came back to school for our lunch and had some time to play in our playground. Thank you to our parent volunteers who came with us on the field trip. Without them we would not have had such a successful outing.
