Part One
A. Key words used to find the articles were: mobile technology, and emerging technology.
B. The databases used were Business Source Premier and Education Source.
C. I didn't necessarily choose the database, however I chose articles including the key words.

Part 2
A. I chose an article that highlighted mobile technology, specifically a news e-reader. This application
uses algorithms and user history to determine the news articles that the user may want to read. The
company, Prismatic, is a start up company and is rumored to be in talks with Microsoft about an
acquisition. The primary basis for the desire to buy Prismatic is to possibly use the platform that they
developed for a news application and apply it to other searches.

Part 4 TRAAP
A. Article had been written and submitted on March 1st 2015.
B. The article was about mobile technology being possibly acquired by Microsoft, which was direct
correlation to my search.
C. Ingrid Lunden, the author, has an extensive background in journalism and has previously worked on
publications for the Financial Times.
D. Where the article is well written, it doesn't have a whole lot of facts. It states that there are multiple
sources that awarded the rumor, but doesn't list which ones. It is more or less an article making an
assumption about the buying habits of Microsoft based off of their buying history.
E. I believe that the article was to inform and possibly pique interests. Considering that the author has
a history in writing about finance, I don't believe there was much bias.

Part 5.
A. The ease of access for either application is depending on the familiarity of using databases. Using
Google takes the thought out of the process and thus creates an easier use. However, being able to
further filter the database to include only scholarly articles means that it is guaranteed to have well
thought out sources.
B. The amount of time that it took to Google the key words too way less time to find something that
was relevant and also within the time line guidelines. Using the school database took more time to
open, and configure the search options.
C. Due to the search options offered through the school database, authority should never be called into
question when reviewing any of the articles that are there. Google pulls up articles written in blogs,
wiki sites, and other unsubstantiated sources as well. The obvious choice to solidify your chances of
finding an article that will have good sources and information is the school database.
