Touch panel based advanced home automation system for

next generation apartments using zigbee.

ABSTRACT
AIM:
The main objective of this project is to develop an embedded system, which will
control the electrical parameters at the home using a microcontroller and touch panel in
wireless mode
IMPLEMENTATION:
This project is implemented 8051 based At89s52 developed board interfaced with
touch panel, relay of connecting the devices, LCD for displaying the data and operates
through zigbee modules..

Automation is controlling of light, climate, doors and window shutters and many
more which we can control manually in our daily life. In this project we are using
at89s52 microcontroller interfaced with touch panel for controlling the equipments in the
home through zigbee wireless communication. This automation system can also be used
for industrial applications with small modifications.
In this project we are using at89s52 microcontroller for controlling the
equipments in the industry. The controlling operations are performed by the controller
which will be present at work centre. Devices are interfaced to the microcontroller
through relays. Relays are used to either switch ON/OFF the devices through touch panel
wirelessly. When the keys are pressed the respective devices will remain either ON/OFF.
The system uses a compact circuitry built around Flash version of AT89S52
microcontroller. Programs are developed in embedded C. ISP is used to dump the code
into the microcontroller

SOFTWARE:
Embedded C
RIDE to write code
ISP to burn the chip

HARDWARE:
At89s52 based our own developed board
Power Supply
keys
RELAY
Light
DC Fan
Zigbee modules

ADVANTAGES: Low cost, automated operation, Low Power consumption.
