Dear Mr. Eric Genenbacher,
I am very interested in your position as a dental assistant. I found this position by
searching online for jobs within the dental field, as I am planning on becoming a
specialist somewhere in the dental field in the future. I have many past experiences as a
patient with specialists as well as dentists and feel that I would succeed as a dental
assistant.
The requirements you mentioned are:
Associate degree or one year certificate from college or technical school
Completed state-mandated procedures, as necessary: coronal polish, radiograph
exposure, ultrasonic scaling for orthodontic procedures, pit and fissure sealant
application
I am currently a full time student at Arizona State University in Tempe. I am scheduled to
graduate in May of 2017 with a Bachelor of chemistry. After this semester, I will have
completed my Associate degree. With this major, I have a lot of experience with lab work
as well as working in teams and with peers. I also have experience with many of the
procedures and responsibilities that fall in the areas of general chemistry and organic
chemistry. For instance, identifying unknown substances, analyzing results, and
synthesizing. I also have some background in biology. In both of my years at ASU, I have
had experience with working with others as well as on my own. I work very well in both
instances. I have a lot of patience and can work out issues with little or no confrontation.
