General Requirements

Bench marks: to be placed at strategic points at which they may not be disturbed.
These must be concrete structures with iron pins whose locations (x,y,z) must be
established and recorded. All benchmarks must be marked on the soft, hard copies

and on ground.
Treatment works, tanks site areas: Must have at least 3 benchmarks, the pipeline

route must have benchmarks at 0.5-1km interval.

Points: Enough points must be collected to produce a topo to a contour heretical

interval of 0.2m:
Softwares: Topo map to be produced via ARC GIS or Autocad CIVIL3D and saved

in a format compatible with CIVIL 3D or Autocad.

Soft Copy files: Surveyor to provide the points file in csv format (PENZD) as well as

the dwg format of the generated topo.

Hard copies: Surveyor to provide copies in an easily legible paper size A1 or bigger
Cross sections: Points need to be taken within 10m intervals along the pipeline

route for a detailed topo to be generated.

Specific details & Permanent structures: Points locating permanent structures,
and other special items like rivers, roads, power lines, trees etc must be taken (e.g.

road edges need to be shown)

Legends: Produced topo must have a legend clearly indicating the different

structures shown in the topo survey.

Surveyor can indicate any other details he deems neccesary
