As the elected Administrative Director for the Colorado Student Government Coalition, I oversee all internal
affairs of the CSGC. My chief responsibilities include assembling meeting agendas, scheduling meetings
of the CSGC, appointing and overseeing administrative and judicial staff, and offering logistical and
procedural support to individual members.
As Chair of the Associated Students of Fort Lewis College's Legislative Affairs committee, my staff and I
monitor local, state, and federal political activity salient to Fort Lewis College Students. When applicable,
our committee crafts resolutions that establish the student stance on these issues. I also oversee ASFLC's
political outreach and direct initiatives such as informational voter pamphlets, get-out-the-vote campaigns,
and informational sessions for Fort Lewis College students regarding political issues.
U.S. Senate
In the office of Senator Mark Udall (D-CO), I assisted in several capacities including constituent
correspondence, legislative research, and crafting press releases and letters. I also had the opportunity to
attend several policy hearings and write summary memos to various senior staff. In Senator Udall's office,
I worked particularly closely with legislative staff in areas of natural gas development, fossil fuel trade
policy, and higher education.
As a Student Ambassador for Fort Lewis College, I assist the office of admission in guiding tours for
prospective students and parents. I also offer support in administrative duties such as prospective student
scouting, data entry, and calling campaigns.
As a tutor in Fort Lewis College's Writing Center, I assist students with all writing-related assignments.
Through this position, I am certified by the College Reading and Learning Association. In this role, I most
commonly help students with sentence cohesion, logical structure, crafting strong arguments, and various
mechanical areas. I also give presentations to Fort Lewis College classes to deliver writing-related
lectures.
