unanimously recognised with First Aid. Bit of history
and where it came from.

What is his legacy
- Upload findings on blog
- Introduce the DRSABCD. Discuss as a group what
is self-preservation and what is negligence? Why is
the D so important?

Introduction:
- Refresh DRSABCD from last week and putting an
unconscious casualty into the recovery position.

Body of the lesson:


- Each group (groups of 2 or 3 depending on the
number of devices available**) to have a smart
phone or tablet to complete this task.
- Introduction and demo of how to use QR codes
given by the teacher.
- Using QR codes at set stations across the room
students to arrive at a station and given a scenario.
- Underneath the scenario will be images,
instructions or a video that demonstrates what they
will be required to do. Each scenario will involve
either bleeding, burn, broken bone or bite.

Conclusion:
- Students to write in their blog at the end of the
lesson how they would feel dealing with each
scenario in a real situation and
- Some simple steps to help them memorise what to
do for each emergency situation.
- Students to use the Australian Red Cross First Aid
app and test themselves on the 4 Bs covered in
the lesson.
**If you do not have smart devices, this can still be run
by printing off instructions and visual demonstrations at
each station.
