Joint Statement

This assignment involves our group to construct four lessons which

focus on the learning and teaching of a topic. These lessons need to
be linked directly to the Australian Curriculum and has a detailed
emphasis on the integration of ICT through creating a website which
contains all these lessons. The activities included into the lessons
aim to provide students with the opportunity to problem solve and
be creative through the use of technology and thorugh inquiry
based tasks.
Part 1: Planning
Part One of the Assignment includes;
- A mind map created using either Spider-scribe or Bubbl.us to
highlight our Project Plan. Eg. Who will complete which parts of the
tasks and what needs to be done by the time things are due.
- Description of our Topic and how our four lessons link to the
Australian Curriculum and Individual needs of the students and how
we can cater for them.
- A statement on how ICT will be integrated within the four lessons
and how it is used to enhance childrens learning and development.
-A forward Planning Document which contains in detail all four of our
lessons relating to our topic The Five Senses.
-A statement on how Theories such as Constructivism underpins our
lessons in the Forward Planning Document.
Part 2: Prototyping
Part two of the assignment involves:
- A brainstorm which focuses on how ICT is integrated within the
lesson for the specific learning area (Science ) and year level ( PrePrimary) .
-A lesson plan , which has been presented in class , will be published
onto the Weebly website.
-An Assessment and Reflection on the way the lesson will and has
engaged students in meaningful learning activities and if the were
good enough when presented/ Peer Assessment survey to gain
feedback on how our presentation lesson went and how effective
the use of ICT was.
-Pre- Run of the ICT devices and equipment to ensure that they will
work throughout the lesson.
Part 3: Publishing
Part Three of the assignment includes;
- Creation of an introduction page to demonstrate the intended
learning sequence and to engage the students into participating.
- Four task/lesson pages which provide and contain the necessary
information and links to resources for each of the lessons.

-A resource page
-An assessment/ evaluation page which includes marking rubrics to
demonstrate how and where the students will be assessed.
-A reflection/ conclusion page which allows students to think about
what they have learnt and what the teacher has taught.
- Submission of the published website on weebly.
In conclusion, the outcome that we were looking to achieve was to
create a website which is interactive, fun engaging and effective
and one in which can be used in an actual Pre-Primary classroom
and setting. We hope that the website hopefully engages children
into learning about each of their five senses through the effective
use of ICT tools.
