Create a SMART Goal that is grounded in the standards of Instructional Practice within the Nevada Educators Performance Framework. Goals should be focused on th
development of the teachers instructional practice; these are not student outcome goals.

By the end of the school year, I will increase my students writing proficiency to at least 60%, as evidenced by Springboards Embedded Assessments

By the end of the school year, I will increase multi-cultural awareness within the school by having students participate in various activities to increas
their sense of diversity.

G1: I will conference with students oneon-one to set goals for their own writing
and
lead
students
through
a
self=monitoring process.
I will also differentiate my instruction by
pulling small groups who are struggling
writers, in order to provide targeted
instruction. I will use data from the
embedded assessments, as well as one or
two writing prompts per unit to monitor
their progress.
G2:
I will bring multi-cultural literature in to
my ELA classes. I will establish Spanish
Club. Members will participate in
various
multi-cultural
awareness
activities and provide multi-cultural
activities during family nights.
