Joint Statement

Year 1 Students
The integration assignment requires the group (Zoe, Katie and Monique) to develop
a resource, which spans across for connected lessons. The four lessons directly link
to the Australian curriculum and integrate the use of ICT. The four lessons
(developed into a forward planning document) will be focused around The Human
Body, specifically labelling the body parts and the senses; touch, taste and sight.
The lesson and website will be aimed toward year 1 students as they discover and
explore a range of ICT materials such as iPads, digital microscopes and 3D printers.
To assist the document two statements and a mind map have been created, one
statement discussing how and why the ICT chosen is used, and another on the
theories supporting the lessons and ICT used. Throughout the four lessons and the
website students should be actively engaged in developing new ideas and concepts
about the human body through the use of interactive lessons and ICT.
This assignment is broke down into three (equally divided between group
memebers) parts:
Part A: Planning
-

A joint statement which describes the ICT and the use of it within our lessons
A spider scribe of ideas about lessons, objectives, job roles and the
curriculum links
There will be a project plan which describes what tasks each group member
will complete and what the key focuses are the lessons on.
A statement which explains the learning theory behind the ICT used
Four forward planning documents on the human body
One lesson plan (Detailed and linked)

Part B: Prototyping
-

One lesson plan will be on naming the external features of the human body.
The lesson will run for approximately 45 minutes and is presented to a year 1
class.
The reflection of the lesson will be discussed by our group members, the
teachers and the completion of the lesson.
The ICT recourses will be checked prior to the lesson and will allow for a
smooth lesson.

Part C: Publishing
-

This is where the website is created to be teacher and student friendly

The website will be broken down into sections (Teacher page and lessons)
There will be games, photos and a list of ICT recourses for teachers to use
A marking rubric will be attached and displayed to encourage teachers to
record objectives and notes.
