USU Physics Day

In conjunction with the silver anniversary of USU Physics Day
at Lagoon, we are expecting to have many of the
Intermountain Wests leading STEM educators in attendance.
We thought we would take this opportunity to host an informal
roundtable discussion on how we, as a group, can best advance
this cause and exploit the enthusiasm of the thousands of area
students at this the largest STEM outreach activity of the year
in the Intermountain West. We will plan on meeting at the
Rose Pavilion, with our discussions beginning at 12:30.

We encourage you to bring your complementary lunch that students flaunting their Sky Drop egg containers.
Lagoon will provide to the Rose Pavilion for an informal
gathering before our discussion. (A buffet lunch is served in the Canyon Terrace beginning at noon.
Entry passes and lunch tickets are available at the USU registration table outside the Lagoon main
gate.)
We would also like to extend the opportunity for you to participate in our Sky Drop contest beginning
at 11:30. You are welcome to tests your skills by bringing your own egg container or to hitch a ride
with one of the hundreds of students participating in this contest (Rules are posted at
http://physicsday.usu.edu/Information/ContestInfo/SkyDrop.asp.). This will provide some great
photo opportunities, a lot of fun, and perhaps even a chance to learn a little physics.
