January 29, 1904
The Russo-Japanese War begins, which will
result in an embarrassing loss in 1905.

January 3-6, 1905


Thousands of industrial workers gather on
strike against the government.

January 9, 1905
Troops ordered to fire upon industrial
workers, resulting in death and the naming of
the date to be Bloody Sunday.

October 3, 1917
Lenin calls on the Bolsheviks to arm
themselves and prepare to fight while in
exile.

October 12, 1917


A general strike appears in St. Petersburg.

October 21, 1918


The St. Petersburg strike is ordered to an
end.

Lenin returns to St. Petersburg

December 7, 1919
General strike outbreaks in Moscow

December 10, 1919


Uprising in Moscow shows many different
political parties try to take control of the city
Two major groups emerge from it, the Reds
and the Whites

The last few months of 1920
The reds and the whites go head to
head in many battles, in the end the
reds emerge
The reds had little to no outside help;
however, the whites had many different
countries supporting there cause.

After months of fighting waiting to


happen the Reds emerge victorious
