Control Measures in place


Glidecam in use. Has heavy weights which if dropped on foot could caus
broken toes. Users should make sure weights are attached securely and

At times, locations have only one exit. The exit should remain clear and
personnel on set should be aware of its location.
Working around the derelict buildings can cause infection. Personnel on
should be aware of this, and wash hands after touching any of the bulidin
Personnel with breathing problems such as asthma may find the dusty
buildings and floors an issue and should carry suitable medication on the
ALL times. Producer and director should be aware of such issues prior to
shooting.
The space should be kept as clear as possible, with the bare minimum
amount of personnel occupying it. Any equipment that can be left outside

Derelict buildings should NOT be entered- they are for exterior shots onl
unless the site owner has given full written clearance. The ledges, doors
walls and platforms of the buildings should NOT be assumed as safe.
Producer must perform a further risk assessment on set to determine the
safety before shooting commences near them. Personnel should be awa
broken glass, rubbish and bricks hidden around the building that could c
injury.
There is no supervision on set- actors and crew should adhere to all the
guidelines set out in this risk assessment to prevent inexperience becom
health and safety hazard. Personnel should be aware of all the risks arou
them at all times. Cast should not tamper with filming equipment as it co
injure them. Crew should not undertake tasks of which they have no
experience and could cause any injury.
Some of the equipment and props on set need to be moved through man
handling. Personnel should adhere to all manual-lifting guidelines to prev

back injury on set. If the object is too heavy for one person, they should
attempt to move it- wait for another person to assist.
A number of shots are to shot in public areas. It is the responsibility of th
crew to make sure any members of public who have NOT given permiss
through a release form to participate in the film should be anonymous at
