MATH QUIZ BEE ELIMINATION ROUND 2

MECHANICS:
1. The second elimination round of the Math Quiz Bee is composed of questions from
different branches of Mathematics which specifically includes Algebra, Trigonometry,
Geometry and Statistics.
2. Each round has different questions from the said subjects which are labelled according to
their level of complexity, namely, EASY, AVERAGE and DIFFICULT (FACE OFF).
The EASY and AVERAGE rounds are composed of 5 questions each, which will be
administered to each individual contestant. DIFFICULT round however is composed of
at least 30 questions which will be administered on per pair basis.
3. For the EASY round, individual contestants who scored 3 out of 5 questions will be
qualified to enter the AVERAGE round.
4. For the AVERAGE round, at least 10 individual contestants who scored 3 out 5 questions
will be qualified to enter the DIFFICULT or FACE-OFF ROUND.
5. For the DIFFICULT (FACE-OFF) round, three (3) questions will be administered on
per-pair basis. Contestant who scored 2 out of the three questions on the face-off will
be qualified on the FINAL ROUND. Face-off round will be declared finished after a
pool of FIVE QUALIFIED CONTESTANTS are collected.
6. In case of TIE on the DIFFICULT round, a CLINCHER round which composed of
breaking questions will be administered to break the tie.
