Child: Matan
Educator: Poonam

I put a white paper and box of crayons in front of

Matan to do crayons activity. I saw as soon as I set
up the activity for him, he started making lines and
circles on a whitepaper.
He was using different colour crayons to make paper
more colourful. He took red and blue crayons and
appeared to be busy in drawing. When he was busy
in drawing at that time Ethan came next to him to
snatch his paper. At that time, matan took away his
paper and crayons in front of Ethan. When Ethan
moved away from him, he started again in this
activity.

Analysis of Learning:
Matan demonstrated enjoyment doing his
drawing activity. He used his creative thinking
and he was happy to communicate his drawing fun to me which signifying that he feels secure
in his environment and he is also further developing social and language skills and positive
interactions with educators. By Spending a long time in the experience and putting a lot of
attention to it, Matan was extending concentration span. Matan was also further developing

gross and fine motor skills and hand eye coordination, by moving the crayons in different
directions an firmly holding it.

Learning Outcomes 1.1, 4.1:

Matan was building secure attachment with one familiar educator. He also openly expresses his
feelings and ideas in his interactions. Matan also follows and extends his own interest with
enthusiasm, energy and concentration.

Whats Next?:
We will continue encouraging Matan to use his creative thinking and his interest in the art
experiences, we will also encourage her to explore his environment and extend in his gross and
fine motor skills, by providing a variety of experiences for him to choose from
Art experiences using different tools and mediums including a variety of natural material, such as
painting, pasting and drawing. Play dough and props.
