How Many Days Has My Baby To play?

How many days has my baby to play?

Saturday, Sunday, Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,
Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
Hop away, skip away,
My baby wants to play,
My baby wants to play every day!

Reasons for the Selection

Body Movements
While reciting the poem, pupils get to perform the
actions like Hop away, skip away, which make
lesson more lively.
Knowledge of the Names of Days
This poem makes the effort of memorizing the
names of the seven days (Monday, Tuesday) in a
week easier.
A Variety of Sentence Patterns
The combination of declarative, interrogative,
imperative and exclamative sentences requires
pupils to read in a variety of intonations, making the
poem sounds more meaningful to them.

Each group recites the poem and performs

their respective actions.
Each group would need to present each of the
seven days with an action using their fngers.
Eg. Pointing out one fnger to indicate Monday,
using 2 fngers to form a peace sign as
Tuesday

Pupils are divided into groups.
