MEMORANDUM
TO: All Staff Members
FROM: Felicia Bodden, Human Resources Executive F:8.
DATE: November 3, 2015
SUBJECT: — Staff Punctuality
It has been brought to my attention that there has been a consistency of lateness among the staff
‘members. During the past four months, the general manager, Mr. Fredrick Dallas has been
keeping a record of each employee's clock in time, Mr, Dallas has found that the consistent
tardiness has increased by 2Opercent. This is not only displeasing to management but also to the
company as a whole.
As per Mr. Dallas’s record keeping, below are the following statistics of the previous months:
July 2015, 3percent of staff members were late five times or more
August 2015, 10percent of staff’ members were late five times or more
September 2015, 20percent of staff members were late five times or more
October 2015, 25percent of staff members were late five times or more
understand that situations andor issues do arise that will cause you to arrive to work late;
however, to minimize such occurrences, I highly encourage that you all get into the habit of
getting an early start. This will allow you to give yourselves enough time to get dressed and
leave out earlier to avoid traffie jams, especially for those employees who live farther away. For
those of you who travel to work by train, taxi or bus I advise you to communicate with your
colleagues to arrange carpooling,
Please remember that working hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The earlier we arrive to work the
more productive and efficient we are, Being punctual projects a sense of professionalism and
commitment. It shows that you are dedicated, interested and capable of handling the
responsibilities of your duties, Punctuality also helps you to achieve advancement.
As to date, [ expect all employees to arrive to work on time, Failure to comply, you will be
required to give the company the time it is owed or it will be deducted from your salary.
If you should have any concems regarding this memo, please see me. Thank you for your prompt
attention to this matter.
