Michele Barron, a social work major at UNC Pembroke, is contacting Tim Moore to advocate for policies addressing bullying. She recently signed a petition for a woman who took her life due to severe school bullying. As a future school social worker, Michele is concerned about children's risk of bullying both in school and online. She asks if Moore will advocate to raise awareness of bullying as an important issue in North Carolina.

Hello Mr. Tim Moore,
I am a senior at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and I am a
social work major. For one of our classes this semester we are supposed to get in touch with one of our representatives about a problem that we find and then advocate for the cause. I am advocating for the population that is at the potential risk of being bullied. I recently signed a petition that is advocating for a young woman that took her life because she was being severely bullied in the school system. As a future school social worker, I am worried that the children of the future are at risk everyday of being bullied, not only in the school but social media as well. I am hoping that you would like to be an advocate about this problem and that we can make it known in the state of North Carolina that this a problem and raise the awareness about it in this fine state. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Michele Barron Mgb007@bravemail.uncp.edu The University of North Carolina at Pembroke
