Evaluation Question 4 Structure
Evaluation Question 4 Structure
Challenge
I wanted to collate my
quantitative research
through a constructive
document,
summarising my
findings in a productive
manner.
Technology
PowerPoint allows me
to assemble my
findings practically,
and also compliments
my skills in presenting
my findings.
Function
PowerPoint slides allow
me to create
constructive bar
graphs, detailing my
findings properly and
effectively.
Effect
Using this software to
its degree of
successfulness will
demonstrate a greater
understanding of
presenting and
collating research.
Significance
The audience to this
PowerPoint in general
will be able to
understand the layout
of the presentation,
and identify specific
conventions associated
with collating research.
Technology
Celtx presented me
with the opportunity to
replicate Industrial Film
Script Format perfectly;
it allowed me to break
down my script
effectively and
properly.
Function
Each Celtx page
equates to
approximately 60
seconds;
I am also able to use
notable script
functions, such as a
slug-line and scene
heading.
Effect
Celtx achieves
industrial film script
format every piece of
spacing/every margin
is just as it should be
on scripts that pass
through the industry.
Significance
Using this format will
benefit the director, for
example, as each page
on Celtx equates to a
minute, so each page
allows you to have a
rough idea of how long
your film will be, via a
minute-by-page ratio.
For example, if you
have 5 pages, your film
will likely last 5
minutes.

Challenge
Creating a near perfect
replica of Industrial
Film Script Format was
extremely difficult to
do via Microsoft Word. I
wanted to imitate the
norms for script format
as clearly as possible.
Construction
Challenge
Editing together clips
manipulated by
trimming individual
frames or ten frames
at a time.

(Example)
Creating a near-perfect
replica of a Sight &
Sound magazine was
difficult using Microsoft
Word because it did
not have the right tools
to replicate a Sight &
Sound review. Microsoft
Words only provided
me with a very basic
format/layout (with
icons such as)
(Talk about why in
detail)
Evaluation
Online Desktop
Publishing Software
presents me with the
option of replicating
certain forms and
structures of an
exemplary Sight &
Sound review.
The line separators,
and the different style
areas of the page
(synopsis in own box)
etc.
Challenge
I wanted to expand my
presentation skills and
knowledge, and collate
research in different
ways.
Technology
Prezi is a cloud-based
presentation software
and storytelling tool for
presenting ideas on a
virtual canvas.
Function
Through Prezi, I am
able to employ a
zooming user interface,
which allows me to
zoom in and out of my
presentation media,
and allows me to
display and navigate
through information
within a 2.5D or
parallax 3D space on
the Z-axis.
Effect
This allows me to break
the mold, in other
words, differentiate
from the norms, and
present my
presentation in unique
ways. I am able to
manipulate content
anywhere on the page,
providing me with
more diversity within
these particular
functions.
Significance
As a media student,
using Prezi enables me
to advance in my
knowledge of media
software. It also
provides an alternate
differentiation from the
norms of Presentation
for the audience; they
are given new software
to comprehend and
analyse.
