Assessment One: Research articles

Task:
This task requires you to search the UOW library database. You need to locate
three journal articles. Article 1 should support the whole language/top down
approach. Article 2 should support a phonetic or bottom up approach to reading
instruction and Article 3 should support an interactional/ balanced approach. A
reflection should argue why a balanced approach to reading is desirable.
For each article you need to:
1. Write the reference details in Harvard style.
2. Provide a 400 word summary of the key elements discussed within the article.
3. In addition provide a reflection of 400 words that argues for a balanced
approach to reading.
