Student Absenteeism Research/Home Visits:

Administration identified the need for increased attendance as well as research on how to
promote student attendance. Research based strategies were identified and explained in a
lengthy paper that ties families, schools and the communities together. Individual students with
high absenteeism and tardies were identified within BCS. Home visits were done with the
Home-to-School Coordinator as a means of educating parents and promoting attendance.
