The Bremer Catchment Association has undertaken a project to remediate a large eroding gully at Mt Walker over the past year. Speakers at the Soils and Erosion Field Day will provide an overview of the remediation project with a guided tour of the site and discuss soil health and erosion control. Attendees will learn from the experiences of the project manager, soil conservation officer, consultant and property owner. An agronomist will discuss increasing agricultural productivity through soil nutrition strategies. A representative from the local council will provide tips on planning revegetation in the area. The free event is on March 28th at Mt Walker Church of Christ Hall.
