CIRCULAR

Subject:- Guidelines for airlines regarding Ebola Virus Disease.

In continuation of this office Circular of even No. dated

11th August

2OI4, following guidelines are issued for strict compliance by international


flights bringing passengers from Ebola Virus affected countries with
immediate effect:-

All the passengers sitting one row behind and one row ahead of the
EVD suipected passenger are to be kept under surveillance so that if
any of them develops the sign and symptoms of the disease,
immediate measures may be taken at that time to treat such cases to
prevent the spread of disease further.

The Fumigation/Disinfection of those aircrafts bringing EVD

suspected pu.""".rg"rs is to be carried out so that the disease is not


transmitted to other Passengers.

The details (Name, Address, Passport No. and Contact No.) of contact
passengers sitting nearby the suspected EVD passengers is to be
provided by the airline operators as and when required by the Airport
Health Organisation Officers'

The aircraft carrying the EVD suspected passengers has to take off
for the next flight after Disinfection/Fumigation & clearance by the
APHO Officers.
