What is Technology?

Technology is many things. For example:


Computers
Cell phones
Social Media

Privacy in the Past

People could keep more to themselves since there was very little technology to share
their private lives with.
Newspapers and the news were the only things that people information about whats
going on in the world.

Privacy in the Present


Almost all personal information is open to the public.
You can search someones criminal record on the internet without them knowing.
You can share whatever information you want on social media such as where you are,
who you are with, how you are feeling and what you are doing.

Technology Affecting Privacy Now

Technology has come a long way and it has affected our privacy in both a good and bad
way.
Since technology has expanded, we have created a lot more social media websites and
applications that show people our personal life.
Facebook, for example, was created so you can see what your friends are up to and
how they are even if you guys live far away.
