To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter to show my utmost interest in working as an elementary teacher in your school district. I will be a PA certified Early Childhood Educator, graduating from Millersville University on May 9, 2015. Throughout my student teaching placement and field experiences, I have acquired the knowledge that students learn in a variety of ways. However, all students have an authentic curiosity to explore, learn and discover new things. It is my role, as a teacher, to create an atmosphere where I encourage each child to learn and grow, and to support their inquisitiveness using hands on, interactive lesson plans. During my student teaching placement at Kunkel Elementary School, I learned and applied a broad range of teaching strategies. I constructed my lesson plans by consulting the Common Core Standards for clear objectives and learning goals as I integrated technology in engaging learners. I implemented a variety of assessments to ensure evidence of successful learning throughout each unit. I created a classroom rapport where students felt safe and eager to learn. The students assumed a very active responsibility for their own learning. They collaborated often, provided input, and reflected on their learning daily. I also spent time working with other teachers and building on ideas and implementing strategies to use in the classroom. My ability to build positive relationships with students and peers along with my aptitude to provide whole class and individualized instruction enables me to be a great asset to your school district. I truly believe that we are all lifelong learners. I would love the opportunity to share this belief, along with my enthusiasm with your school district. I look forward to discussing with you how my experiences and abilities can best meet the goals of your district. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely,
