Dear Yvonne:
Thank you for the opportunity to write on your behalf as you prepare to enter the
workforce as a LPN. It has been my pleasure to know for the duration that you
have been in the Practice Nurse (PN) and ADN programs. You have been an
enthusiastic, reliable, and self-directed learner throughout both programs. Your
perseverance for achieving high standards and in providing quality nursing care and
health promotion counseling is appreciable.
I have most recently served as the coordinator of a ten-credit Health & Illness I
course (Spring, 2014). You were attentive and professional in all encounters. You
also served as a leader among your peers in requesting changes that would
improve the course. Your clinical instructor found you to be prepared and
conscientious in client care.
I recommend you for an entry-level nursing position. I also highly recommend you
continue with your education to at least the baccalaureate level.
