General Objective:
To have an opportunity to apply knowledge, skills and attitude in giving service, restoration and maintenance of health and wealth

through application of basic nursing concepts and processes we learned in school


Specific Objectives:
To be familiarize to the ward set up and general procedure done in the area
To be able to apply leadership and management skills
To adapt to the area and to get myself trained
To be able to apply basic fundamental nursing skills in rendering care to mothers and babies

Learning
In our whole duration of duty in OB ward we are all
functional. Everyone has its own assignments. Our
clinical instructor gave us 2- 4 patients which is good so
that we will be able to more familiarize in vital signs
taking. I had experienced inserting suppository to my
patients, draning the catheter bags and changing IV
fluids, removing IV catheters and removing indwelling
catheters. Everyone of us experienced to be a team
Leader. Being a team leader is not easy, being a leader
tests your capabilities in handling your subordinates and
also handling many patients. I learned how to managed
my time, how to be responsible and have presence of
mind in all actions that you do. You also need to
supervise your subordinates, you need to lead the way
towards a productive and efficient nursing care. Thanks
to our Clinical Instructor for being there to supervise and

care to our patients. She is calm at the same time strict
in the same tempo and tune so it was then fine for us. .
Our whole stay in OB Ward, I can say that I was so happy
and fulfilled. I learned a lot, gain more knowledge and
having experiences that we will never forget.
