Health and Safety

Manual Handling:
- While carrying heavy equipment (lights and ChamSys desk), make
sure there are no obstructions
- Prevents self injury
- Do not continue to carry on lifting of you feel struggle or strain.
- Get someone else to do it to prevent pain.
- Keep back flexing to a minimum
- It affects your carrying distance of heavy objects.
- While positioning and testing lights, even packing them away, you
must be aware of lights still omitting heat.
- If lamp is still hot, wait some time for it to cool down, or wear
heat protection

- Prevents burning.

Safe Cabling:
- The cables must meet the standards required by the equipment.
- If not, equipment may not work.
- Ensure there are no breakages in wires.
-Risk of equipment failure.
- No liquids around electronics
- Can cause malfunctions on desk
- Ensure safety cable is secured onto the light and onto the rig.
- Prevents risk of lighting falling off the rig into the audience.
- G-Clamp must be secured onto the rig properly
-So there is more security on the lights.
