Centennial Data by Teacher Summary (my Observations)

3rd Grade Math

All teachers were close with mean RIT (range of 6.7)

o R highest is Number and Operations, Geometry and Measurement, and
Data Analysis
o B highest in Algebra (only .5 behind R in Geometry and Measurement)
o S wasnt the highest in anything and had the lowest mean by 5 points
from the next lowest

3rd Grade Reading

There was a larger discrepancy amongst teachers here (range of mean was
13.3)
o R was highest in all categories (Lit, Inf Text, Found/Vocab)
It is important to note that when I inquired about this, I was told
that this teacher resigned after last year. They were burned out
as they would stay with students until 5:00pm every night.
o S scored the lowest in all categories and had the lowest mean by 8
points from the next lowest

4th Grade Math

The range of the mean scores in this category was 10.7

o L was highest in Numbers and Operations
o LS was highest in Algebra, Geometry (by a lot), Data Analysis
o H was lowest in every category and their overall score was 6.8 points
lower than the next lowest

4th Grade Reading

The range of mean scores in this category was 8.6

o LS had the highest scores in all categories: Lit, Inf Text, Found/Vocab
o H was the lowest in every category and their overall score was 6.5
lower than the next lowest
