    Sonotronics CHP series coded transmitters permit long range tracking


    in marine environments and in large lake systems and impoundments. These
    transmitters are suitable for animals as small as 500gr, or for studies requiring
    continuous tracking for 4 years. Normally available with small (1/16) holes for
    external attachments, and optionally available with rounded ends suitable for surgical implanting (I). Detection ranges for the CHP series vary from 500m+ when
    using a Sonotronics SUR submersible receiver to over 3000m when using a Sonotronics receiver with a DH-4 directional hydrophone.
    Lifetimes shown above are typical based on continuous pinging at approximately
    once per second.
