Background:

IN 1024 Poland
Coronated Boleslaw I
Chrobry as the
countrys first king,
establishing Polands
right as an
independent nation.
There are 16
voivodeships or
provinces in Poland.
Before the 1990s
there were over 45.
IN 1791 The Republic
of Poland passed the
first Consitution in the
Old World, while in
1997 the present
constitution was
passed.
The Parliament and
the Cabinet System
have varied positions
that hold office and
held run the country.

HEAD OF COUNCIL OF
MINISTERS
The Council ensures that
the state policies are
upheld, laws are executed
through ordinances,
approves budget, and
secures the state treasury.

PRESIDENT: The Head of


State. guarantees state
power, and represents
Poland on the
international front. He is
also in charge of security
of the state.
PRIME MINISTER:
Head of the Council of
Ministers. Makes the first
choice of Council then
sends vote to President
for final decision.
