Rob Galanti RP Realty Partners, LLC 550 South Hope Street, Suite 2200 Los Angeles, CA 90071 Dear Mr. Galanti: Residents of the Faircrest Heights Community are deeply disappointed to learn of the loss of the La Cienega Farmers Market at the corner of La Cienega and 18th Street. The Farmers Market is an important resource providing fresh fruit and vegetables in an area that is surrounded by fast food. In addition it brings financial benefits to adjacent businesses and to the vendors. Equally important is its centralized location for the Faircrest, Crestview, and other Mid-City and West L.A. communities. It is within walking distance for many residents. We are asking that you allow the Thursday afternoon Farmers Market to stay in its current location, or if that proves impossible that you at least give the Farmers Market ample time (90-120 days) to find another nearby location. Unless the Farmers Market can move directly to another nearby venue (with no lapse in market days), they risk having to close. That would be a tremendous loss for our neighborhood. We are asking our 10th district councilmember, City Council President Herb Wesson, and his staff to work with you, the Farmers Market management, and other local property owners/managers on a good solution and on timing that will work for all. Thank you for your consideration, Sincerely,
Laura Anderson President cc: City Council President Herb Wesson Carrie Miner, President, Model Neighborhood Program
