OBJECTIVE/PERSONAL STATEMENT
Seeking: full time position teaching secondary social studies. I see myself as a highly effective and
passionate educator looking to work with outstanding people for the betterment of all students. Through
my litany of experience as a hockey coach, attorney, salesperson, writer, long-term substitute teacher,
and student teacher, I feel that I am extraordinarily prepared to be a professional educator. I feel that I
have not only found what I am truly meant to do, but that I have a lot to offer any administration and any

All students are capable of success in the classroom.
Demonstrating how social studies apply to students' understanding of the world and their lives is
integral to inspiring learners.
Teachers should use an assortment of teaching methods and assessments in order to engage and
accurately gage a student's understanding and success.
There is no replacement in this world for an impassioned and dedicated teacher.
